At Quick-Step, we are convinced that 'the world you'd love to live in' is not just a world of stylish interiors. It's also a world that shows respect for our natural environment. That's why, as a company, we make continuous efforts to minimize the ecological impacts of our products and processes. Every day, we seek new ways to recycle, reduce, reuse, recover and renew throughout the entire Quick-Step manufacturing process.
WE USE CAREFULLY SCREENED RAW MATERIALS
Our Quick-Step laminate boards are made of more than 75% chips from sustainable wood sources. Not a single exotic tree is harvested to create our exotic laminate floors.
Wood that is used for our hardwood floors is only sourced from controlled or ecologically certified forests.
Our Quick-Step glue, lacquer and oil meet the strictest international emission norms, so you can enjoy your wood floor in all confidence and without worries.

WE INVEST IN ENERGY-EFFICIENT PRODUCTION
We have optimized the thermal energy management in our production facilities in Belgium and Malaysia. All wood waste from our milling and sawing processes is burnt in an incinerator and the resulting energy is reused to generate heat for the production of our laminate and hard wood floors.
WE AIM FOR SMALLER PACKAGING
We have drastically reduced the packaging of our Quick-Step 'Exquisa' laminate floors. Compared to other products, the innovative packaging of Exquisa uses up to 50% less source material.
WE COMPLY WITH PEFC AND CE REGULATIONS
All our Quick-Step parquet floors are CE labelled. This means that they have met EU consumer, safety, health and environmental standards. All our floors are tested in recognised laboratories and we largely meet the minimum requirements.
For a long time already, we are PEFC certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). This label ensures that all wood used in our wood and laminate floors originates from sustainably managed forests.
